- The Paint files in this folder were mainly taken

- Sussex.
-
- On that day there was a re-enactment of the Battle
- of Hastings.

- Notice the axe carried by the far figure.
-

- presented to William. The banner is a gold
- cross on white.

-
- These images are useful when compared to
- contemporary sources about the battle.
-
-
- death
- dress....are all images from the Bayeux Tapestry
- and compare well with the battle re-enactment
- files.
-
-
- death - an example of the horrors of the battle.
-
- dress - a Norman knight on horseback.
- Does this compare to the re-enactment ?
-
- Bayeux Tapestry images can be used in a DTP
- package to create a newspaper report on the battle.
-
- e.g. drawfile1.
